Weekly Announcements Video Recap (9/15)

  • St, Rose Parish - Last Gasp of Summer Soiree social event on Friday night 7pm-11pm at St. Michael's Church rear parking lot. Entertainment: Mystic Rulers Duo (2 sets), Ice Cream Truck available, BYOB and snacks, Basket Raffle, 10+ baskets great prizes (50" Smart TV, Keurig, Nintendo Switch, Yeti Cooler). Baskets on display at St. Rose this weekend after Masses, tickets for baskets available for purchase as well. Tickets for the event $15 per person on sale after St. Rose Masses this weekend or during the week at the rectory. Join us for an evening of socialization! 50/50 will also be available at the event. In the event of rain, the event will not be rescheduled. All sold event tickets will go into a drawing for a $300 cash prize. Tickets are available at the event door. Please support this parish fundraiser and make it a success!

  • This weekend is the kickoff to the 2021 Diocesan Annual Appeal. Video will be shown at Masses this weekend. Please consider a gift of support. SR Goal: $61,000. OLMC Goal: $23,000

  • Parish Council meeting tonight, topic includes October town hall meetings for the Diocese blueprint discussion,

  • Finance Council meetings next week to discuss budgets at both Parishes.

  • Holy Name Society First Responders Mass and Breakfast, Sunday, September 26. Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church (9am) with a breakfast to follow at Trinity Hall, Simpson. Tickets are free for first responders in the Carbondale/Simpson area, $10 for parishioners, tickets available after Masses the next two weekends. Keynote Speaker is Trooper Robert Urban from the Pennsylvania State Police, Dunmore Troop R.

Diocese Announcement 8/6/2021

Bishop Joseph C. Bambera issued a new letter to the faithful on August 6, strongly recommending that parishioners wear a mask while attending Mass because of the new delta variant. He has also requested that all priests, deacons and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion wear masks while distributing Holy Communion, regardless of their vaccination status.
